COKE ! official delivery

The Coca-Cola Co is back trading in Myanmar

The Coca-Cola Co has made a delivery to Myanmar for the first time in 60 years, after the lifting of US sanctions against the country.
The group announced yesterday (10 September) it has delivered Coca-Cola to customers in Yangon, the former capital of Burma, the other name for Myanmar. Coca-Cola first said in June that it was planning to start trading in the country again, once the US government has suspended investment sanctions.
Myanmar has recently taken steps towards democratic reform, after being ruled by a military junta since 1962.
Muhtar Kent, Coca-Cola's chairman & CEO, was in Yangon at the weekend to oversee the first deliveries.
The group's rival, PepsiCo, said last month it is also planning a return to Myanmar after an absence of 15 years.
